The Personal Mobility Engineers were established in 1997 as an engineering company specializing in mobility equipment.  They have mobile, qualified Technicians, and operate throughout Canterbury.Qualifications include that of Electrical Service Technicians,and additional training is ongoing, particularly where compliance with specific standards is required, such as beds and hoists. With some high tech products training has been such that that Personal Mobility Engineers are the specified Service Engineers for the supplier.

Retail They deal only in established brands to ensure full support and backing, In the Showroom there is a full range of Mobility Scooters and Power Chairs. There is ample off street parking, and you can select the machine to suit you, and trial at your own home. Ample, experienced advice available to help in your decision, and to make sure that your choice is the right one. 

However, they are not just about Mobility Scooters and Wheelchairs.The Service Division of the company has Enable and ACC contracts and are ACC and Enable providers. They are the Authorised LINAK Service Engineers, servicing Patient Hoists (LOLER and BS EN 10535) and Beds in Hospitals and Homes throughout Canterbury, Nelson and Marlborough.


In Manufacturing the Fleet Chair and Orderlies Chairs have an unmitigated reputation for quality and durability.  Customising equipment is an acknowledged strength and they are also known for the manufacture of Custom Shower Commodes matching products to clients needs.
